PRIMARY HEALTH CARE FOR ALL CITIZENS OF PALILULA Organized by the Nis Health Centre, with the support of the City Municipality of Palilula, there was this year's first "Health Bazaar" held in front of the Nis cultural Centre, where people were able to check their health status by measuring blood pressure, blood sugar measurements of body weight and height. It also marked the International Day of physical activity. The first year's Bazaar of Health, which was held in the City Municipality of Palilula, in front of Nis Cultural Center, there was a team of the Health Center that has provided hundreds of free medical services, and thus achieved the objective of this project - the promotion of good primary health care for all citizens. City of Niš will do everything to prevent the build up to a higher level which would reduce the costs of treatment”, the Mayor of Nis, Prof. Dr. Zoran Perisic said on this occasion. Boban Džunić, president of municipality of Palilula spoke about the significance of these activities for the citizens of the municipality and cooperation with medical institutions. Checking your blood sugar, blood pressure and medical advice, were free to the citizens from the municipality of Palilula. The aim of the first year's Bazaar health is to raise awareness of and concern about maintaining the health of the population, said PhD Milorad Jerkan. Free preventive examinations started in settlements without health stations, and it will continue in the coming months, according to the health center. Olivera Radulovic, from the Institute of Public Health in Nis, recalled that every year on May 10th it marks the International Day of physical activity.Promoting healthy lifestyles, encouraging people to care about their health, support in the release of harmful habits and protection from infectious diseases as well as education about the importance of preventive medical checkups, it all will continue to be a priority of the City. Health center organizes "Health Bazaar" several times a year. This practice will continue. The survey data show that these activities affect the changing bad habits from residents of Nis, highlighted the organizers and hosts of the first "Health Bazaar".
